ACCEPTANCE OF RISK
During registration, any participant acknowledges having read these regulations, accepts the terms in their entirety and accept the normal risks associated with cycling, such as individual or collective fall.

PARTICIPANTS
Races are open to everyone members and non-members of FFC.

Recumbent bicycles are prohibited

Electric bicycles are allowed on the Marco hiking

 

STATUS  

Registered members of foreigner federations who reached their majority

CONDITIONS & OBLIGATIONS

You will be asked for a doctor’s certificate (less than 1 year old) that allows you take part in a cycle competition

 

The under 18’s registered members or not

CONDITIONS & OBLIGATIONS

You will be asked for a membership card or a doctor’s certificate and a parental consent.17 years old people (Junior) are only allowed to compete at the Decouverte in the same conditions

15 years old people (Junior) are only allowed to compete at the Marco in the same conditions

 

 

If the event is cancelled by force majeure or by decision of the Prefecture, the organization is exempt from any committed resources.

 

 

REGISTRATION
REGISTRATION FOR THE CYCLING EVENT IS FIRM AND FINAL
Only claims directly related to the following serious reasons will be taken into account by the organizers : accident, total disability, illness. Reimbursement will be made upon written request before September 04, 2020, upon presentation of a medical certificate or any serious reason. Apart from these reasons, no refund will be made in case of withdrawal and for any reason whatsoever. All payments remains the property of the organisation.

 

BE CAREFUL ! REGISTRATION UNTIL Setember 5th 2020 ONLY
Confirmation of registration will be sent by E-mail until 04.09.2020  Participants who have not received confirmation should go to the registration stand. The organization committee reserve the right to limit the number of participants.
After the 2th of September 2020, each and every missing document for the registration has to be presented when you get your number before starting the race. You won’t be allowed to compete if a document is missing.

 

SAFETY
Wearing a hard-shelled helmet is compulsory for all participants (including professionals and invited participants) during the entire circuit, non-respect of this regulation will result in disqualification.
ANY PARTICIPANT MUST HAVE HIS OWN INDIVIDUAL INSURANCE AND IS GUARANTEED FOR THIRD PARTY LIABILITY BY THE ORGANIZATION
FULL RESPECT OF PUBLIC ROAD REGULATIONS AND THE USE OF THE RIGHT-HAND SIDE OF THE ROAD ONLY ARE COMPULSORY
For safety reasons accompanying vehicles are not permitted on the course : any participant takes will be out of the race.
The organization strongly advises that a rigorous physical preparation precedes the racer is necessary. The “Casartelli” is a mountain race with several difficult passages (triple front chain wheel recommended).

 

ASSISTANCE
You must take care of your own mechanical repairs (flat tyre….), nonetheless, mechanics and small accessories and parts, payable on the spot, will be available along the route. If however you can’t pay immediately a bill will be sent by post after the race by the repairer.
Appropriate medical assistance : doctors, ambulances, Red Cross stands, communication with the SAMU and Firemen.
A “sweeping” vehicle will be at the tail-end of the race, travelling at 16 km/hour. All cyclists over taken by this vehicle, who are unable to fall within this speed limit will be disqualified from the race and will not be placed. Any disqualified competitors must give back their number plate.

 

CHECKPOINTS
The starting checkpoint will open at 6.00 a.m. The staggered start of the three races will take place in Saint-Girons/Ariège (Parc des Exposition) from 8:00 a.m.

Before the start, all participants must pass through the “racers area” corresponding to the chosen race, for registration by electronic chip.
To avoid any cheating, the organization will have different electronic chip checkpoints : Checkpoint « start », Checkpoint « in progress », Checkpoint « finish ».
Any participant that do not register at one of the “CHECKPOINTS” will be automatically considered disqualified.
Each racer which won’t be registered at 12:30 p.m. in Massat Village will be considered out of race. Organisation signalmen will stay at the crossroads till the passing time limit. Then, the road won’t be safe anymore and racers won’t be supplied with water and food anymore.

BIBS AND CHANGING COURSE
The bibs are assigned by computer according to the chosen route.

 

 For any registration before September 3, 2021 the electronic handlebar package will be personalized and offered to the competitor

IMAGE RIGHTS & GDPR, (General Data Protection Regulation)
 Entrants must accept that they may be photographed or filmed during the event, and must agree to the creation and use of such footage for future promotions and publicity of the event.

The personal data of the riders will be stored and used only for the needs of  "La Casartelli ". Any disagreement with these clauses must be reported by mail to the association freewheel, when registering.If you don’t agree with this, you have to join a written document with your registration at the Roue Libre Casartelli.

 

ACCEPTANCE OF CONDITIONS
 For the well being of all entrants, and of the event, all entrants must accept and comply with all event conditions The organization has the right to change the regulation for safety reasons or for exceptional circumstances beyond our control.
